Project Description:
This project intends to provide road users with an all-weather dust free driving surface from the Highway 2 overpass at Township Road 470 to Highway 616. The project involves repairing any existing failed areas, widening the road to a width of 9.0m, stabilizing the subgrade with a portland cement and sealing the road surface with a double aggregate seal coat. Culverts through the centerline of the road will also be replaced during this project.

This project is scheduled to begin on Monday August 31, 2026. A temporary road closure has been issued until further notice. Please see map below for detour routes.
Construction is expected to start on August 31 st and crews will be on site for about 30-40 days. This does not include days in which crews are unable to work due to inclement weather.
Traffic will be accommodated via traffic control and/or detour routing throughout the work site although delays should be expected. Please be patient and drive carefully when moving past the crews.
Advanced traffic signage will be in place before the project begins.
