Attention County Residents: If you hold a strong interest in the decisions made by local government regarding subdivision and development permits and land use,
you are invited to apply to be a Member of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB).
The SDAB is a quasi-judicial tribunal that hears subdivision and development appeals by the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, Agricultural Pest Control Act and Weed Enforcement Act,
and exercises powers, duties, and functions as provided by the County of Wetaskiwin Bylaws and Policies.
The County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 is actively recruiting for one (1) vacancy, and applications are encouraged from County Residents in any of the seven divisions of the County.
The SDAB meets on an as needed basis, when an Appeal is received, and Hearings are typically scheduled evenings during the standard work week.
SDAB Members receive compensation for training, mileage and attendance at Appeal Hearings and serve a term of up to three (3) years, with options for reappointment.
Following appointment to the SDAB, by a resolution of Council, Members are required to successfully complete a provincial training program,
which is offered in-class and online, prior to being eligible to participate in an Appeal.
