Update: June 12, 2026
The County of Wetaskiwin is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Bridge File 00168 replacement project on Correction Line (Township Road 470), located between Highway 2 and Highway 2A.
The previous bridge, which was more than 60 years old and subject to a 10-tonne weight restriction, has been replaced with a modern structure designed to improve safety, reliability, and long-term transportation access for residents, businesses, and emergency services.
The project was completed with support from the Government of Alberta's Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program (STIP) and represents an important investment in the County’s transportation network. The new bridge will help ensure this key east-west corridor remains accessible for years to come while supporting local traffic, agricultural operations, and regional transportation needs.
The County would like to thank residents, businesses, and motorists for their patience and cooperation throughout construction.
