Program Overview

The County of Wetaskiwin's sustainable agriculture program supports the adoption of beneficial management practices by agricultural producers through education and awareness. This includes:

The program also supports individual producers with the Alberta Environmental Farm Plan process, the application process for Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership grants and coordinates the ALUS Wetaskiwin-Leduc program

About your sustainable agriculture coordinator

Serving the Wetaskiwin and Leduc region, the SA coordinator is here to assist you on your path to agricultural resilience.

The SA coordinator:

  • Is a trained EFP technician available to help local producers with the process.
  • Connects farmers to grant opportunities like the S-CAP and can assist with the application process.
  • Is the first point of contact for ALUS Wetaskiwin-Leduc
