[ARCHIVED] Wild Boar Survey

County of Wetaskiwin Wild Boar Survey

The County of Wetaskiwin does not currently know of any wild boar farms within our boundary. Wild boar can legally be farmed in Alberta, however, wild boar are considered a pest when at-large according to Alberta Pest and Nuisance Control Regulation.

The County of Wetaskiwin does not have any regulations around farming wild boar or prohibiting them. The Government of Alberta has fencing regulations for wild boar but that is the only form of rules or regulations regarding wild boar. County Council is seeking public input on wild boar. Please complete this survey to provide your opinion on wild boar. The survey will be available online until February 26, 2021.

For more information or questions contact, Steve Majek, Director of Agricultural Services at 780-361-6226 or email
