The Town of Thorsby and the County of Wetaskiwin continue to explore the development of a regional water distribution system. A proactive step toward enhancing water security, service reliability, and future growth for the greater region.
To guide this work, both municipalities are proposing the creation of a Municipally Controlled Corporation (MCC). This formal partnership structure would support planning, infrastructure development, and potential service delivery. Before proceeding, Councils will hold a Public Hearing to gather input from residents.
