Winfield Lagoon

Project Highlights:

  • Desludging of lagoon Cells 1, 2, and 3
  • Installation of a new subsurface underdrain and polyethylene liner in the storage cell
  • Upgrades to valves and piping to enhance system efficiency and reliability

What to Expect:

  • Construction activity and equipment in the area starting late June
  • Work hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, four days per week
  • Temporary impacts such as increased traffic and noise during working hours
  • Possible road access limitations during certain phases of construction

Why It Matters:

This project will extend the life of the lagoon system and ensure improved wastewater treatment capacity for the community—supporting public health, environmental protection, and long-term sustainability for Winfield residents.
