The Municipal Development Plan, or MDP, is an important planning and decision-making tool that outlines direction such as:
- Identify a vision for the future and goals for how land within the County may be utilized over the next 20 years
- Identify the types of growth the County will encourage, such as agricultural, residential, commercial, recreational, and industrial development
- Identify where and how growth should occur
- Guide decision-makers and municipal spending on economic and social matters, and the environment.
On April 11, 2023, Council approved the new Municipal Development Plan.
