Drought Response Support for Alberta Farmers and Ranchers

The Provincial and Federal Governments have announced support for farmers and ranchers dealing with drought. Programs and details may evolve. The Ag-info Centre can connect producers to many programs, call 310-FARM (3276). To keep aware of opportunities, here are some websites to monitor:

Livestock Tax Deferral – County of Wetaskiwin is in the prescribed region
Alberta Agriculture dedicated webpage for ‘Farming in dry conditions’ – Information and tools to assist with on-farm business management and production issues during dry conditions and periods of business stress.
