ALUS is a program offered to our farming community and seeks new participants/projects for the 2021 season. To enroll acres in the program, a new project needs to be established. Some project examples include alternative watering systems, wetland and creek riparian fencing, eco-buffer/riparian planting, and grassed waterways/ enhanced buffers in annual crop land. ALUS shares establishment costs with the farmer and provides a yearly, per-acre payment for acres involved with the project. Innovative ideas welcome!
