If the deck is 0.6 meters (two feet) high or less, you do not need a permit. A permit is required for a deck more than 0.6 meters (two feet) off the ground.

Go to our Online Map page to view zonings within the County. You'll need the municipal address, legal address or tax roll number for the property you want to view. Once you're on the Online Map, turn on the Zoning and Spot Amendments located under the Planning and Development Tab. 5. How Can I Find the Dimensions of My Property?

Property 'pins' and dimensions are found on Real Property Reports. Real Property Reports are issued by Alberta Surveyors. A list of surveyors recognized by The Alberta Surveyors Association.
