The County of Wetaskiwin is conducting an ongoing review of Recreational Vehicle/Park Model Unit (RV) usage in the County of Wetaskiwin. Part of the review included the formation of a committee that included 12 members of the County at large which were appointed by Council.
The Committee met on 4 separate occasions in the months of January, February and May 2013. The purpose of the Committee as per the Committee Terms of Reference were to “Review Recreational Vehicle/Park Model issues and compile and provide information to County Administration related to possible bylaw amendments and/or public education strategies.”
A principal objective of the Committee was to compile information and public input into a comprehensive report for County Administration’s review and analysis.
The RV Committee has submitted their final report to County administration and has now disbanded.
Council has since reviewed the RV Committee's final report, the recommendations of County administration, and discussed various possible solutions moving forward.
