Property taxes are levied each year on the assessed value of all property in the County, and include revenues for Municipal Operations, Alberta School Foundation, Emergency Services, Alberta Senior Foundation, and Fire Districts. The taxation year runs from January 1 to December 31 of each year.

Combined assessment/tax notices are mailed no later than June 30th, with a 60 day payment period. Receipts are posted on the date payment is received at our office. Penalties are applied after the following dates:

• 6% penalty on current balance only after August 31
• 7%  penalty on total outstanding balance after December 31
