Corporate Culture

What Makes the County a Fun Place to Work

The County of Wetaskiwin strongly believes that establishing and fostering a creative, fun and friendly Corporate Culture is essential to a positive and successful workplace. Staff barbeques, parties, special themed days and raffles occur on a regular basis at the County. This electric Corporate Culture is maintained by direct staff involvement where their initiatives have resulted in fun events and competitions like themed County Staff Days, County Olympics, daily card games, “Blue Jean Fridays”, departmental challenges, and a municipal golf tournament. To sum up, the County of Wetaskiwin is a pretty great place to be.

Ambassador Information Session

Perhaps the most unique and most vital team-building event is the County's yearly Ambassador Information Session where all the County's employees gather for 1 whole day to learn about each department's amazing accomplishments. This event emphasizes the importance of each employee's contributions to the County and reinforces the philosophy that each person is an ambassador of the organization.
